TIP #3: Is there a better time of day to shoot outdoor photos?
by Ron Kirkwood

You bet there is. You want a soft light condition such as overcast days or open shade. For the best images, shoot your photos early or late in the day if possible. This is when the sun is not directly overhead. When I say early or late in the day, I mean before 10:00 am or after 4:00 p.m. If it's foggy or cloudy, anytime is fine. If you have to take photos in the direct sun, try to place the subject in the open shade to improve your images.
